The Family Math Night was held in the University Center of Pacific Lutheran University. Mathlete students, their families, and teachers are invited to attend. Families had the opportunity to go on a short campus tour before the event started. During the event, students shared their posters and solved math problems, and families received information about our program and the Math Olympiad. Read a PLU news release about the event here.
Who We Are
The Mathlete Coaching Project is a collaboration among PLU faculty, staff members and students; and upper-elementary and middle school teachers and their students, with the purpose of creating a community around mathematics.
What We Do
In the Mathlete Coaching Project, PLU mathematics students are trained to coach upper-elementary and middle school students for the Washington State Mathematics Council’s Math Olympiad held each May.
